ABOUT ME
HELLO, WELCOME TO MY WEB-SITE, MY NAME IS NONA LAPACHI AND I AM GLAD TO SEE YOU HERE.
I WAS BORN ON APRIL 12, 1970 IN A SMALL, BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE BY THE NAME OF KSUISI, WHICH IS FOUND IN THE SOUTH OSSETIA REGION OF THE COUNTRY OF GEORGIA.
MY COUNTRY, GEORGIA, LIES AT THE INTERSECTION OF EUROPE AND ASIA. ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BORDER IS RUSSIA.
ON THE WEST SIDE IS THE BLACK SEA; ON THE SOUTH SIDE, TURKEY AND ARMENIA. AZERBAIJAN SITS ON THE SOUTHEAST BORDER OF GEORGIA.
IN AUGUST 2008 WAR BROKE OUT BETWEEN GEORGIA, RUSSIA AND RUSSIAN-BACKED REBELS IN THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH OSSETIA.
IT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT TIME OF MY LIFE. BY PROFESSION I AM A GEOLOGIST BUT, WHEN RUSSIA BOMBED,
BURNED AND OCCUPIED MY VILLAGE OF SOUTH OSSETIA, I TURNED TO OIL PAINTING.
OF ALL THE SEASONS IN THE YEAR, FALL IS MY FAVORITE. FALL IS THE REASON I LOVE TO PAINT AUTUMN LANDSCAPES.
I USE OIL SIMPLY BECAUSE OIL PAINTINGS ARE THE MOST REAL.
TO THIS DAY, PAINTING IS MY PASSION. IN SEPTEMBER 2017, I HAD EN EXHIBITION WITH "MADATART GEORGIAN ARTIST GROUP" AT EMMANUEL GALLERY.
THIS NOVEMBER, I PLAN TO HAVE ANOTHER EXHIBITION.
I ARRIVED TO NEW YORK IN 2014. NEW YORK IS ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING CITIES I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE TOOK MY BREATH AWAY!
